Re: PD160 Cold Air Intake

Can't say for definite, but it might fit. The only difference in part numbers for the pipe and the trim that attaches to the slam panel is 6q0 (9n) vs 6r0. The rest is the same bar the suffix. I know for a fact this is similar with the wheel bearing housings on the 6r / 9n3 GTI and PD130 Polo/ Fabia...

I'll try and have a look this weekend. Have the latest version of ETKA but it's not installed on my laptop (yet).

Re: Thinking of selling up, one of those "what's it worth" p

Just moved to Dunstable yesterday as I've been offered a job in Luton, which I started today. Might have to meet up for a beer and to compare cars. Not too far away from London! Plus some pointers in regard to retrofitting cruise control wouldn't go amiss. It's on the (long) list of things I want to...

Re: Buying a 6R - Advice on engine & model...

The 6r is well built. In my opinion build quality went down when they introduced the 9n. The 6n2 was much better built. Glad to see they've got their act together. Having said that, had a front end to front end collision with a '00 Astra in a 9n - the 9n got a scratched bumper and cracked slam panel...

Re: Buying a 6R - Advice on engine & model...

I think it's wrong to assume that the manufacturer has implemented these niggles on purpose though? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You're wrong in assuming that we're assuming the niggles have been implemented on purpose. With new products "inherent" faults aren't sometimes discovered...

Re: Buying a 6R - Advice on engine & model...

What so pessimistic? Some people just have a run of bad luck with a car. Doesn't mean every car is built to fall apart? It's not bad luck - the previous generation Polo was riddled with niggles. Remediable niggles, but niggles nonetheless. Most of these were solved with the 9n3 facelift. Doesn't ne...

How much did it end up at out of interest? Let me know once you've done it and which plug turned out to be the right one.

Re: Alloys for a 'Nimbus' Grey 6R? Any recommendations?

You sure it's 30 / 30 and not 25 / 30 (that's what the EIbach Pro Kit is)? Double check with regards to the service plan - it may void any warranty related to suspension components but they can't not honour the service plan if you want to add your own personal touch to the car. Going by that notion,...

Re: Facelift Polo 6R spotted.

Youll notice in the video thats a Bluemotion polo.. So no doubt it got max everything, For us to retro fit, would need a new BCM, headlights and wiring looms for the new bulbs, headlight washers aswell Would be alot of work and alot of cash.. Don't think so. They're simple halogen headlights. No ne...

Re: Alloys for a 'Nimbus' Grey 6R? Any recommendations?

You do realise the OEM lowering kit is made by Eibach? You may as well get the Eibach Pro Kit for half price, or get the H&R kit. It's like paying £15 for an air filter that's in VAG packaging instead of buying a Hengst / Mann filter (who supply VAG) from a motor factors for £5. They're both the...

Also, might be worth holding out a few more months until they release the facelifted 6r. Prices of the current 6r should drop.

If they physically fit, it won't be too hard to get them to work (think 9n3 rear lights on a 9n and vice versa).
