Hello Peeps, Don't know if anyone can help me. I need to replace my cam on my 96 Mk4 Polo. I have just got a new cam, etc off of a Skoda Octavia, matched it all with another Mk4 engine there and matched up. Possibly the Idle Control Valve?

Mates astra used to do this going down the motorway, or stopped at lights, etc.

He was told it is the valve, but he never did replace it as the gearbox died before, so, he just sold it, lol!

Sorry peeps only just remembered to check back! Thanks for the replies. Mate spoke to his mate who is a VW mechanic and he said it sounds like clutch release bearing seized, which I did clean everything before I painted it, so probably took all the grease off the shaft, oops! Got a new one to go on,...
