I'm in a silver x plate, last bit is DYA. Flashed somebody in a black polo a while back when round by Halesowen when coming round a roundabout.
Sometimes round that way when going from stourbridge and heading for the lanes to go past frankley services to get into northfield to see some mates

Sounds like very similar problems to me mate.

I did post last week about my car not firing up properly but that just seems to have been a one off that hasn't repeated itself.

What does seem to be happening tho is my car will occasionally cut out for a split second then run fine. Recently i've had ...

Forgot to add that there have been a few times where the car has cut out for a split second when driving along. And there was a time that there was a squeeking belt type noise when cold start until warm up.

From searching on here it sounds like it could be down to the alternator. I think this GTI ...

Starting and running problems

My GTI is poorly

Yesterday i went to start the car and there was nothing at the turn of the key. All electrics working but no turnover. Tried it 3 times and it eventually fired up.
10 minutes later i did a short journey and it did the same again.

I was planning on getting it plugged into ...

Mountain bike rack?

I'm looking at getting a new mountain bike soon so i can get out and about, around forest of dean and places like that.

Just wondering if anybody knows of what type of rack or whatever to carry the bike on my gti? I don't fancy folding down the seats and getting a mucky bike inside.

Thanks in ...

It turns out that the fool that had the car before me put a recon clutch in! :x

The garage cleaned up and checked the box for hairline cracks etc. Fitted a new seal, clutch kit, front discs and pads. £500 done in a few hours.

I've only had the car a few days and spent money on it, but i love my ...

Thats just a link to a similar repair on the box mate.

From chatting to the guy he explained to me exactly as that link does, about the weaknesses and strengthening the box. I havn't even asked about the cost because i'm sulking as i've only had the car a few days :(

I'm dropping it off at 7.30 ...

I popped down to have a chat with the guy at the garage as i finished work early. I got him to test drive my polo to see what he thought.

Said it could be a dodgy clutch fitted previously or it could be the box.
He won't be able to tell until the car is stripped down so he can see properly.

We was ...

I had a drive about today and the clutch seems just as bad.

It judders and vibrates when pulling off in 1st at all times in the journey. And today i was sat at some lights on a hill, holding the car on the bite. Then when the lights changed the clutch slipped a little in 1st then slipped big time ...
