Mountain bike rack?

Post by Lux »

I'm looking at getting a new mountain bike soon so i can get out and about, around forest of dean and places like that.

Just wondering if anybody knows of what type of rack or whatever to carry the bike on my gti? I don't fancy folding down the seats and getting a mucky bike inside.

Thanks in advance

There are a couple that just rest on the back somehow but I have always been worried about them scratching the paint...

I do a lot of biking and have no problems getting my large bike inside the GTI...jus get a nice plastic sheet...

Infact, over the summer I got bikes, camping/cooking/climbing/walking gear for TWO people into the polo.....quite impressive!

If you want to carry it on the roof I would recommend Thule aero roof bars and cycle carrier, not cheap but very good products.

Im pretty sure they clasp over the edge of the roof in to the window frame...

Makes a pretty mess of the window seals
