Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Retrimmed headliner + more!
I recently had my MOT. Needed a new suspension arm on the right side and it passed after. 3 days after, my bearings started becoming noisy. How much did it cost you for yours mate? I haven't had mine done yet.

Re: Alarming Noise
My brake shoes seemed fine from looking at them. This noise only started other day when I hit 105mph down the dual carriageway a week and half ago. It's been getting louder and louder as the days are going by "/

I'm positive that it's the rear. How much is it for the rear wheel bearings?

Re: Alarming Noise
I'm not sure whether I can get a recording of it. It sounds
as if something is grinding. The best description (friends descriptions who have sat in the car whilst hearing it) is "It sounds like a motorbike in the distance". My mechanic friend said "The wheel bearing looks fine. I know what a ...

Alarming Noise
Hi guys.
I have got another problem again.I've noticed that my car has started making a noise in the rear when I hit speeds of 20mph+. It gets louder when the speed gets higher as well. The noise doesn't go away in neutral either. Me and my friend (who is training to become a mechanic) took the ...

Squeaky Front Brakes
Another month, another problem lol.
Well..
I've been having this issue for a few months now,
My brakes are fine for a bit but after 20 minutes of driving or so, if I brake, I always hear a weird squeaking noise. Seems like it comes from the front left.
It's usually when I'm coming to a halt. Just ...

Re: Light's Question
Thought I'd update you guys, even though you probably couldn't care less.
It turns out, the light was dim because it was 24 volts rather than 12 volts.
The 24 volts go dim.
Polo's are supposed to be on 12 volt rear light bulbs.
Still haven't managed to sort the bumper out.
It's a pain in the rear ...

Light's Question
Hey guys.
I've got my MOT comin' up in a months time, and I thought I'd do the odd little thing myself to pass it.
I've noticed that when my lights are on, my left rear light illuminates at normal brightness but my right one - which I recently replaced because it was dead - is a lot dimmer. I bought ...

Re: Noticed the steering wheel shaking slightly. What causes?
I had that issue.
If you look at the inside of your tyres, see if they're worn.
My tyres were just being shredded.
They looked fine from the outside, but I had a closer look on the inside and it turned out I'd been driving for over a month with metal wire showing.
