1997 (R) Polo 6N 1.4CL for spares or repair

First post and shameless sales pitch. I've been a lurker on here for ages and was sure I'd joined but obviously never got round to it!

Up for offer as spares or repair is our trusty VW Polo 1.4 CL in pearlescent Atlantic Blue. It's done 144,000 miles and has a full srvice history. It has no tax or MOT. MOT expired on 14/01/10.

It failed its MOT on handbrake adjustment and corrosion on the offside rear floor. Basically it needs the handbrake servicing and a bit of welding done. The garage I took it to for the MOT said that this would total about £200, due to having to remove the seats and carpet to do the welding properly. Obviously if you are mechanically minded and know someone who can weld this won't cost as much - maybe just a couple of skinned knuckles!

It has a nice set of alloy wheels with legal tyres on them - the front two got an advisory at the MOT and have a couple of mm before the wear indicators.

Everything works as it should - electric windows/mirrors etc. It does have some rust on the bottom right corners of both doors which the camera doesn't show. Viewing recommended and welcome.

The car still starts and drives fine (obviously cannot be driven away) and will be sorry to see it go but we have a new car already. V5 present, as is the owners handbook/wallet, locking wheelnut key.
