Good Evening All!
I am new to this forum and I have a couple of questions with regards to my 2019 1.0 TSI Polo.
1. About a week a go I’ve noticed a clunk sound coming from rear driver side which is mainly noticeable when making sharp turns. I have checked the boot and nothing is flying about in there + spare wheel is securely fastened down. I have got a mechanic to look at the suspension and he does not see anything wrong with it. Everything is nice and tight and does not look damaged or coroded. When I rock the car the noise is not noticeable it’s only like I said before during sharp turns.
2. I have had a warranty job done on the gearbox + clutch as there was a grinding noise when putting the car into reverse. They have changed the synchromesh + I had a brand new clutch kit in but the noise is still present when I put the car into reverse quickly. They claim it is normal as the reverse gear does not have a synchroniser. I want to clarify with more mechanically/car orientated people on this group whether I’m being fed a bunch of lies here or is that really the case?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Noises
That is correct. There is no syncromesh for the reverse gear.
