I'm 32........ Insurance is with Halifax Insurance.....

I've got 10 years...(i think) NCB

I payed £450ish fully comp protected NCB.

When i first got the car a couple of years ago i was 29 and 10months.... Halifax wouldn't initially insure me untill they realised i was only 2 months away from my 30th birthday as their system had the minimum age reqd for the Polo GTi owner to be 30!!!!!

Cheers

Dave.

But Ive now got 1 years ncb unprotected for £1,050 with Direct Line

I'm 32, Missus is 28, full NCB-protected. £350 fully comp on a limited mileage of 3000, as I have a MK3 runaround and a van! Was about £550 on 10k a year. Performance Direct.

My total yearly insurance for 3 vehicles is £1200!

And 3 lots of Road tax

Me? I'm 24, 5 yrs NCB (protected). With Direct Line the basic quote inc. legal cover was £407 last September, but with protected NCB and my Mum on as a named driver its at around £500. Can't complain, in September I am expecting a nice similarish quote from HIC and then I can get modding :)

Well in preparation for getting one I have looked around and the chepest I've found is £1800! I'm 18 soon to be 19 and soon to have been driving a year, no ncb because I'm a named driver. That was with elephant.co.uk with me as the policy holder and my mum as a named driver.
