Awesome GTI Store UK

Post by Randall »

Hey All,

Has anyone dealt with these guys lately?! To tell you the truth im not impressed

Ok a month or so back i visit TopGear Racing in aylesbury to have me 15" Lenso RS5s put on, all excited like you are when u get that new toy. One of the guys there mention the front spring had a crack in it n had a joke with us saying "youve been treating her mean aint ya?!" didnt know what the hell he was on about until i looked - so got a mate to check it out for me and he advised me to change it asap, so thought oh fuk it i'll do the lot!

so got on the ringer to GTI store, yeah sure no problem, so a nice set of FK AK Coilovers on way from Germany should take about 2-3 weeks at most...time went on it came to a month by this time i had rang them several times tryin to track the order and being told they would phone me back etc which they didnt.

Its now come to the point where they told me these items are so new they may not be even in the production stages yet so told em to shove it, considering my car has been sat still on the drive for two weeks! *front side collapsed as i was about to pull off drive - so so lucky :? so ordered me some Eibach sportline springs also gaining a discount for my troubles - oh this should be a few days or so

As they were ordered on rentz c-card got them to fone n mum is now waiting on them to phone back once more today

I dont mean to ramble on as i have but i believe this will be my first and last dealings with the place...so be warned!

Rich

P.S. if they move their ass into gear i may jst have me a car on saturday as i have made arrangements for a m8 to fit em for me

I personally have no problems with the place! I even get my servicing done there. bear in mind that they have just moved premises and allot of things may be up in the air, no excuse really. Personally I would go to Awesome any day over any other VAG specialist, because they are actually friendly when you go there!

I hope my hofele sideskirts aren't still in production  lol, i ordered them about a week ago.

They said they would arrive in about two weeks. They better not have been bullsh*ting me. I only ordered from there cos cessories quoted 4-6 weeks, then again they were probably being more realistic!

I would go in there dubpolo but unfortunately its a bit far as im like an hour from london so have to deal with things on the phone.

I just dont think its right how i was told they would be 2-3 weeks then after a month of phoning them they tell me they may not even be in production or jst startin production then it would of been nice to told about it.

Like i said i havent had me car for last 2/3 weeks now so im on a thin line and really need the car back for work so hasnt really helped me

i dont usually like pointin fingers and blaming people either as im not 100% sure if it is just gti awesome stores or FK fault

Randall that is s**t about the FK AK coilovers, I've had AK coilovers since beginnig of January!! and I picked them up from Gwent VW myself, no waiting or anything!

Though tbh, I'm not impressed with a lot of places at the moment, DubMeister messed me about chronic ordered some wheels, 2 weeks later after me phoneing them several times they say they were sent out, couple weeks later after several more phone calls they say they have been sent out (again??) then couple weeks later after several more phone calls they say "We can't get those wheels, they are no longer made" umm?? They never phoned back when they promised they would.

Also Rimstyle as of late I've been a bit peeved about as they never phone back or email when they say they will.

What is happening to companys today? no customer support at all!

Oh and btw Randall if you want some FK AK coilovers I may be flogging mine cheap (might also have a set of FK Konigsports for cheap!)

I've been well and truely f88ked around by awsome. I've been waiting for some sideskirts for 4 weeks. Kept phoning up the last two weeks and they kept telling me that they're on the way from Germany. They never call you back. In the end I spoke to someone who first of all told me they hadn't been ordered. Then after two days of waiting he called me back and told me the sideskirts were no longer in prodution  !
