interior light

Post by bass mekanik »

doesnt work when i open the door. :?

now cant be the bulb because when you switch the light on "permanent" while in the cabin its fine.

cant be the door switches otherwise my alarm would be going s**t.

cant be fuse because again- the light wouldnt come on if i flick the "permanent" on switch in the cabin.

driving me mad! any thoughts anyone? :?

the light only comes on when the doors are opened, so the switch could have failed in the 'door shut' position? could be the earth connection is dirty/ corroded?

is it the same problem for the passenger door?

will try cleaning up the connections and see if that makes a difference.

you alarm wouldnt be going off if it was stuff on the 'closed' position eg 'no light on'

if it was 'open' the light would be on and the door would be in effect open thus resultsing in alarm gong spazz

probably door switch. also. does the light come on then you press 'unlock' on the key fob with all the doors shut. should be on for when you approach the car and unlock it
