red line speeds.??

Post by forbezGti »

hi... was wondering what speed you's get out of second and thrid gear just before the limiter. I get 60mph out of second and 90mph out of thrid. My mate has a 106 Gti and he gets 70mph out of second and 100mph out of thrid....

Although it's not a VW, I have a Pug 106 only a 1.4 and I've had 40 in first and 60 in second just as it hit's the limiter in both.

I've got the Phase 1 and yeah they are stupidly light, I can literally feel the car getting blown sideways in strong winds on open roads, they're real thin cars, I'm going with the Polo GTi next though, as VW's, Audi's etc seem really strong reliable cars, plus insurance isn't too bad and you don't see that many about, not like your 106's, Saxo's and Fiesta's!

I'm looking forward to all of that, Power Steering, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors, Air Conditioning, the lot and most of all Remote Central Locking.
