New Polo - anyone know the wheel/hub specs?

Post by dxg »

Thinking seriously about tracing some aftermarket alloys - sounds like real VWs will be too expensive...

Anyone know the PCD and ET for the New Polo - is it the same as the MKIV Golf (that's what I'm hoping!)?

Anyone dealt with these people??

The Polo accessories brochure lists some VERY nice 17" wheels called 'Exor'. VAG Part no. 6Q0071492666. Ask your local dealer to check accessories catalogue on ETKA for a picture. They retail at £150 each but you could probably easily haggle 10%+ off.

Don't know whether I should let you into a little secret, but here goes:
The New Polo has a five-stud bolt pattern (can't quite remember the PCD) with an offset of ET35, the same format as found in the rest of the VW range (Lupo excepted - it has a four-stud pattern). So that means all those five-stud wheels from the Mk3 Golf GTI onwards and, best of all, those lovely polished Audi Competition five-spokes from the TT should fit directly onto your New Polo.
Imagine a set of TT wheels on a New Polo 8)

The TT wheels cost £400 though  If you want similar rims your best off going for the A2/A3 17 inch style versions, they only cost about £170+ VAT I think.

dxg, they don't have a brochure. Rather a flyer with everything you can get. I work for an Audi dealership so I'm able to get them at cost. I just don't think its worth it on a 55bhp Polo. OH if only I had bought the 65 version...
