Not been out in mine yet, the lanes are terrible round by me, cars in ditches everywhere I'm told, time to put the snow tyres on? ;)

polo2k, do you normally change tyres for the winter then? Why not this winter? ;)

des_pd_tdi, how was the drive home then? :)

tdisport, ooops! not good lol.... i did something similar, no damage tho :D

I've been out playing! Went out with my 17s with normal tyres on, took about half hour to brake with ABS going mental, and came round a bend at 10mph and slid straight into a bank, luckily no major damage.
Went home, put my old 14s on, with mud and snow tyres, and they made a HUGE improvement, I never thought they would. Breaking is greatly improved but the biggest difference is in grip in a straight line and cornering, I did the same bend I stacked it on earlier at 20mph easy!

Bring on Sweden!

Stacked my car into a load of bushes outside work, highly embarrassing. No damage apart from my pride. Thankgod I'd put two coats of Zymol Titanium on before winter.

Had to laugh though.

i would have changed them when i was doing the brakes the other day but i found out that cos id stored them on their backs outside the rim had filled with water and frozen therfore absolutly killing the balencing and also one one wheel the wheel trim was frozen into the ice  so now im rolling around on my summer tyres which makes for fun ... ill put some pics up later
(ps josh youve already seen the pics last night)

Only a t**t (ahem) that hit me on the A12 'claiming' to be ice. Other than that with the 15 inch Melborne I've had no grip problems whatsoever apart from in the odd car park (where snow hasn't cleared). Thinking of buying the winter pack with my next Polo though 8)
