The Car, for some reason, also came with illuminated vanity mirrors and door lights, apparently only availiable on SE>>
Anyway, first problem was the day I first saw it, MASSIVE crease on the o/s (caused by dock driver leaning against another car I pressume), new car would have taken 3 months to obtain and doors were on b/o. So they ordered ANOTHER car from the same colour batch and replaced the door (excellent service in my opinion from Wolsey VW). There was also a few paint defects on the o/s/r quater panel and roof.
700 miles: Start to notice rattle from centre console and top of dashboard near the windscreen, not to bad but at 7000 miles they are now driving me made. Also, there now seems to be a rattle from the dash cluster. Also notice a come/go rattle from o/s door (possibly when replaced?)
2,000 miles: O/S seat base (3dr car) begins to creak (replaced under warranty at 4000 miles)
3,500: engine REALLY begins to losen up, overtaking now a much more easier process, obviously no dragster but a massive improvement over the old 1.0 50bhp. However, fuel consumption is a bit dissapointing, especially considering the a BOTR car and first gear is almost pointless!!
4,000: Warranty work, seat base replaced
6,500: Some idiot in a Peogeot 406 hits the back of my car on the A12 in Ipswich, very angry but suprisingly only £15 worth of parts are needed considering the serverity of the hit
7,000: Beginning to regret buying a Dark Blue car, needs constant cleaning!! Rear washer Jet is only pissing out a extremely small amount of water. Have used a pin to unblock it but no improvement, begining to wonder if motor is packing up.
I'm now looking at a Polo 1.9 TDi Sport, fuel consumption and performance delight me on paper. Have driven a company (I work for an Audi dealership) 130bhp A4 and its devastatingly fast!! The 100bhp in a Polo, I CAN'T WAIT!! Wolf in sheeps colthing
