Price will depend on the condition of the item you give them. All the rust and paint has to be stripped off and they are polished up to a high standard before plating.

If you're wanting a steel Mk3 Polo one polished up it's probably cheaper to go out and buy a brand new one and get that chromed. Yoof spent about 50 hours on polishing up his standard one prior to chroming. Just the chroming itself is likely to cost in the region of £50+, depending on the quality of the chrome finish and what else you're getting done at the same time.

Alternatively you could buy an alloy rocker cover as found on certain Mk2 Polos, or the Mk4 Polo/Ibiza type. Yoof will polish these up for around £40 depending upon initial condition and can add a breather pipe connection if required:

Certain 1986 1.3 models, apparently at random... Rare as extremely rare stuff.. however, if you do manage to track one down your average scrappy won't want more than a fiver for it so you're sorted ;)

I bought a polished rocker cover off Yoof, then got it chromed. Got it chromed at my local chromers, along with my strut brace so cant really say how much it cost exactly; it was £70 for both. Quite expensive really, but looks nice! lol :lol:
Cant find the pic of it on, but here it is off car;
