my gt is dead
cam belt gone,
i want to cry i spent no money on it in the 3 months i have owned it, i has my nice wheels on it and now to top it off its dead, any one need any bits before i scrap it

really sorry to hear that mate, no chance of a new head? or are pistons damaged?
If you do break it I may well be interested in bits, depending on what you have etc, whereabouts in the country are you?

Ahhhhh noooo! always a shame when another one has to depart from the roads.
Is it possible I could have the air intake that sits behind the grille on the left hand side as you open the bonnet, if you are breaking it?

why you giving up on it so easily?
get it checked out buy a mate who knows what their doing and go from there
i dont like it when people give give up and just scrap their cars coz of some little problem that can be solved

For the money Adam paid, he could get another Polo GT without all the hassle of fixing this one.

considering a number of things to replace it with atm a 3dr gold seems
most likely but i have my g40 so my polo days are far from over,
mums getting a polo as well now ,

Have you whipped the head off it yet? The head from a 1.3CL Mk3 Polo is the same, so there's your cheap source of new valves etc. - you'd just have to swap the cam over (which is no problem as it'd be out anyway). Add to that a headskim, new gaskets and cambelt etc. you could have it fixed for £150 or so if you do it yourself. That's assuming the pistons aren't damaged though.
