Small wheels - Whats the smallest that fits a GTi

My BBS wheels are coming off tomorrow to be refurbished, i have a set of 14" wheels off my old car, will these fit onto the GTi?

Yes, I think they will. Handling will be fun though with the reduced width of the wheels and the increase in power over the old 1.4! But yeah, no worries.

Its only for a week... ill just stay off the road and pamper it for a few days! My reason for asking is that it comes with a 15" space saver and so thought that might be the minimum that fitted!

Nah, I've seen pictures of GTi's on 14" Schmidt wheels before now, I'm certain it'll be fine

I would think 14s would fit as long as there is enough room for the calipers to clear the wheel.

What size are the discs on GTIs? 256mm?
