In the members rides section there are a few pics of my car and the spec.
what do people think of my baby?
my mk2 rally car
ive still got the original engine at in the garage.
im butting out 113 bhp at the flywheel now with the 3f.
im building a 1400 abd engine with 3f head and cam wich should be alot more so the bloke who is building it says.
they are actually opel manta rear wheel drive wheels. I dont like them but they were cheap and strong to do the job as rally car wheels dont last long. 12 for £40.

as far as I can tell the 3F head is the same as the ABD head, (and AAV) So I hope youre not being charged extra for a "3F" one. What is the bloke who is building it doing about the ABD's comparatively low compression ratio? Im going to try and see if a metal headgasket used to raise the CR of stock g40 engines will work with this engine, but not till my headgasket goes.
As for hk being tunable I think this combination would work well:
GT bottom end
HK head
HH cam
Some sort of carburettor
(not my area of expertese)
Well Ive got the cam, just need the block and the head.

yeah that was something I was thinking about doing, I think you end up with about an 11.5:1 compression ratio with that setup. The thinner headgasket doesnt have as big an effect, but does bring it up to near GT spec (9.9:1 or something like that assuming it works) So do the GT pistons fit the 1400 rods ok then?
