my first troubles . no car for one week , (Now fixed (:'--

Post by jimmadee »

After the car refused to start I called out VW assistance who where great and diagnosed cam shaft + another failure (error code G40!? ,co-incense!)

The dealer was excellent and took the car strait in , however one of the sensors is on vack order and will take 10-12 days to arrive.

Because my car is not ‘off the road’ – they don’t think I can have a hire car? :?

Having spoken to the engineer he advised the car may misfire or cut out , basically I’m not taking the risk of running it around.

Does this sound right? no hire car, the car is used approved with warrantee – should I get on to VW customer service?

I’m happy with the overall service , but why is such a part on backorder!?.

And to make it worse I was planning to go up and watch the vw/audi castle coombe track day event tomorrow! Grrrr…

Still , going to be looking forward to when its fixed - mabey it'll run even better!
