The shape is pleasing enough, even if it's a bit "un-fiat" because of the high-ish waist line (or is it really high?).
I like the front, manages to both be contemporary and have a certain, I don't know, 1930s? 50s? feel about it (chrome grille and round badge I suppose).
As for the GM version, at least it'll have build quality to recommend it (compared to the Fiat that is). Though magazines have been saying that the new Croma "wagon" thing is very well built out of high quality bits. So let's wait and see...

Yup - it's got an extremely small DLO, which is unusal for Fiats.Babe RuthLess wrote:The shape is pleasing enough, even if it's a bit "un-fiat" because of the high-ish waist line (or is it really high?).
I've been hearing really good things about the Croma, too. It's a shame it's got such a dull design. When I was little we had one of the Mk1 Cromas (a 1988 CHT). It was big, but even then was a bit dull. At least then Fiat has the excuse of the constraint of the common Lancia Thema / Saab 9000 / Croma floorplan.Babe RuthLess wrote:As for the GM version, at least it'll have build quality to recommend it (compared to the Fiat that is). Anyway, here's a pic of the Punto's interior:

Not quite so sure about it. Other photos have the painted sections in different colours, so perhaps it's the same as the exterior colour, ala the Coupe dash?
