No Xenons + No front grill spells "Ive been crashed badly at the front end"

No repritable place would fix a car with different parts to what it comes with from stock which would suggest to me that its been damaged and fixed by the owner or something similar.

I'd keep looking if i was you mate.

Cat D will make it harder to sell on later on and it should have Xenons. I wouldn't buy one without, cos they should be there.

I wouldn't buy this one either. To retro-fit xenon lights is a big job which will cost money, and besides, as Phill says, an insurance repair would have replaced everything to the OEM specifications, ie. with xenons and honeycomb grille. Something not quite right here IMVHO :|

Besides, the xenons are one of the major features that help the GTi stand above the rest of the range and they are simply awesome to drive with at night/dusk/dawn 8)

I'm looking for one as well and my personal view on accident repairs is NO WAY, I want a car that I know has been looked after or just not crashed. As everyone else says it's strange they haven't repaired it using Xenons and Honeycomb Grille, I'd stay away personally.
