I need a new ECU apparently... does anyone know if i will need a new Immobaliser chip etc? What are the ins and outs of it? What else needs changing?

There is a internal problem in the ECU, not the software on it. He tryed flashing it and it just happened again. Im now wondering if i get a new ECU from a scrappy can i just have my key recoded so that the immobaliser works?

The correct part numbered ECU will work on your car, but it'll need coding at VW I'm afraid, as VW hold the immobiliser codes at HQ.

Luckily i know a big dawg at VW so getting the codes aint a problemo!
