In all honesty, you may as well keep your GTI wheels and get them refurbed.

Get some cheap steelies/alloys and get someone else to do it.

It'll be a lot cheaper than forking out for a set of wheels that look very similar, but make the car lose value come resale.

On this occasion I'd be inclined to agree with toXXin, the Rondell wheels are too similar to the BBS wheels you have at the mo to really make a big difference. A refurbishment will cost between £150-300 depending on who does it and the type of finish. The RX2, being a split-rim, is naturally more expensive because it has to be split, refurbed, then put back together again. Arse :?

Top 'shopping tho 8)

I can see why you want to get new wheels tho, if the same corrosion starts on the refurbed ones it'd be a shame

the rondells look very nice and OEM-style, so if you get a vw badge for the middle of them then hopefully it wouldn't affect resale value.

toxxin - what happened with your ibiza in the end? (sorry pm me i guess - thread hijack  )

At the end of the day, i can get these new Rondall wheels for less then a refurb costs. Im just gunna buy them, use them til i sell the car and then when it comes to time to resell fit the old gti wheels. You are seeing the fact that they look similar as a bad thing...

Thats why i choose them, i origionally wanted to get some new dishes for the BBS wheels but ive since realised that this cant be done so i went looking for a rim with a slightly bigger dish, this one has a 2.5 inch polished lip, although its hard to tell from the pic. Looks very similar to the bbs ones which is exactly what im after.

You cant look cool parked in a disabled parking bay....

i agree, i think the Rondells look sweet on it, long as you sort the ride height out!

It got put back to standard and flogged to a dealer. They got it for a very good price. Noone was interested in it, not even at £250 more than trade!
