what's a damaged/repaired polo gti worth?

hi guys :) just wondring whats a CAT C polo gti worth? its silver, 2000, 40000 miles, 2 pervious owners, all normal spec. been repaired but recorded as CAT C! the guy whos selling it said make a offer? how much should i pay damaged/repaired car?

The problem is that the car will always have the damage recorded stigma and this will affect your chance of future resale. If you plan on keeping it for a long time, make sure you know exactly what damage the car suffered and get the quality of the repair checked. Also bear in mind that the chasis may have also suffered. Personally I would pay no more that £3k provided that everything is as it should be.

Do your homework.

Find out where this car was damaged and find out why the current owner is selling it.

I've just bought an Ibiza which has been accident damaged but not recorded. The repair is slightly off, but I'm not concerned.

As long as the repair has been done to a good standard, then there should be no reason why you shouldn't buy it! :)

ye i would be aware and make sure there is no chassis damage test drive it make sure it drives in a stright line also check for premature tyre wear could be some thing bent
