hahaha

did he not check the bloody thing before he put it in his wallet? bet he didnt even sign it

Solo card (rather than Maestro/Switch)... says it all really... like an Electron to a regular Visa*. Can spot em a mile away when working at the bar...

im thinking less "going to get fired" and more like "walked out of crappy underpaid call centre job after having to deal with this bloke one too many times - and one final act of quite restrained evil"

hehe paying him compensation, wonder how much he sold the story for?

* yes, i know he's "only 18" ... but usually you get upgraded Electron -> Visa or Solo -> Maestro at that age...

Hah! Serves him right for not looking at the card before he tried to buy something with it..

You'd be suprised. I have an account with halifax and natwest, halifax refuses to change my electron to a visa and natwest refuses to change my solo to a switch, so I'm left with two useless pieces of plastic cluttering up my wallet. Hopefully come student loan that'll all change..

Remember when somone at NTL changed the name 'Patel' to somthing rude and racist about 2 years ago?

Every Mr 'Patel' received the bill with a new name that I wont repeat

its a well known fact that natwest and barclays are nazis, though... ;)

(must say im a bit surprised at the halifax not giving you extra!)

get over to lloyds, where they may be about as incompetent as a lobotomised hamster, but are all too happy to let you run up an enormous overdraft EVERYWHERE, not just places that take "electronic transactions only" cards.

PS I couldnt even tell you where the AA call centre IS mate. feel free to whip out a map and try some town / borough / suburb names on me tho!

im fifteen minutes hustle from town, nine minutes regular drive from the country, and three minutes relaxed trundle from tesco, just the way it should be (meaning i can get ice cream at 1am and not worry about being out half the night)
