Big day Thurs 28/07/05!!

Post by Del_GTi »

New timing belt, pulley, tensioners, and water pump tomorrow. Car just turned 48k and thought it was better to be safe than sorry.

Car also has it's first MOT under my care, and gotta be honest, i'm shi**ing myself. Hope it doesn't need much cos i'm gonna be skint.

Between MOT, timing belt, it's also getting 50k service in 2 weeks and road tax is up at the end of this month.

I'll be glad when it's all done.

Well, passed MOT today with flying colours.

Didn't manage to get timing belt etc done as the guy was snowed under with cars today so will be done on tuesday.

As for costs, the parts were genuine VW parts and the were just over £140, cost of fitting won't be much as it's a mate who's doing it. 8)

Timing belt, water pump etc all done now.

Total cost was £230. Which is really good.

Car even runs a little quieter, had a kinda chuffing, rubbing noise before which is now gone.

Just to get serviced now which happens next week.

Was a local garage to me who did the MOT as well. Parts were from VW though.
