they are all difficult to tell unless the car is rolling roaded or tested in what ever other means are used.

The only thing I can say is that the 0-60 is probably a little low at 5.6 but could well be just under 6.0.

The 140mph top speed is believable enough on the clocks, Rod took mine out when he took me for a test ... drive/experience before I bought it and I saw about 135 with plenty of revs left and no pulling problems to reach 140. Whether his foot was to the floor I don't know, he could control the car very well to minimise wheel spinning and torque steer.

Where's the car being sold if you don't mind me asking? Any pics? If Pitstop Developments (PSD) did the engine rebuild it'll be 1341cc with their forged pistons.

Sorry, didn't make myself clear.

The original engine capacity of a G40 engine is 1272cc (1.272 litre). AFAIK = As far as I know.

Increasing the bore increases the capacity of the cylinders.

Your best bet is to ring Pitstop up and ask them about the car. If you're lucky Steve might remember the car and be able to tell you more. If you're close enough to them (Littlehampton/Worthing) then it's worth taking the car to them for a check over.

It sounds like it's a very similar spec car to mine (if it's a 1341cc), though I haven't got the toothed supercharger belts (incidentally, if they are toothed belts then it's the equivalent of a 65mm v-belt pulley - not a 68mm) and mine makes just shy of 160bhp. Torque is 160lb/ft on mine, fairly nippy - enough to stick to the arse of a Porsche Boxter S on the Belgian autoroute on the way back from VW Mania.

If you're in London I'd recommend you make the trip down to them - they'll be able to give the car a quick healthcheck, and also fill you in on the spec. They'll also be able to tell you what you need to do to look after the car, and supply you with some of the correct PTFE spray for lubing the charger.

You won't beat the Mustang to 60, but from a rolling start you should really be able to hassle it.
