Short Shifter

Hi Chaps
Just fitted a BM sort shifter on Saturday and i am generally pleased with it apart from a very baulky 4th gear change .Has anyone else experienced a similar trait , is there any tips or advice to make it slicker or do i need to clock up some miles on it.Your comments are appreciated.

have you got it adjusted perfectly central when in neutral, so there's equal movment both left and right?
