polo 9n tdi blown turbo

hi my bros polo 9n 1.4tdi has blown its only done 70k is this normal? ive asked him to ask the dealer if vw will put any good will towards it looking at Â£600+

The exact same thing happened to my mates dads passat. And guess what? They never put anything towards it he had to pay for the lot himself! I take it he never took an extended warrenty?

It all depends on the vehicle age and mileage. If its done 70,000 miles you'd probably be looking at 50/60% goodwill?
