Can any1 tell me the benifits they have from fitting an in duction kit and what make it was. thinking of getting 1 piper x £71.

hi mate
fitted a k&n 57i induction kit to mine, its quite loud when you put your foot down but it does sound mint

is yours a 6n2? do you have more power? much was it?

yeah its a 6n2 mate
its only a pony 1.0 litre engine so i didnt really notice much, felt nicer anyway maybe because of the noise!

It makes it go VROOM VROOM ! hahaha

Ive got myself the BMC Carbon Air Filter, sounds gorrrrrrrrrgeous :) a nice gargle in low down revs but changes tone when u whoop it thri the revs.

Dont think i could drive my Polo without it now !!

did it make your car faster when pulling away? I was going to get a piper cross induction kit, £71

So far as I know on the 1.0 it makes almost no difference what so ever but sounds lovely :)

I know but I dont want to spend £71 on someing that just sounds good, I could put an extra £30 onto that and get a backbox and have a vroom vroom sound and soomething to look at if you know what i mean? Or do I want to spend £70 on and induction kit? :?

i got my induction kit before my exhaust, and when i fitted my exhaust you couldn't really hear it over the induction noise!
now its worn in nicely it sounds abit more beefier which is nice
I'd get the induction kit mate!

Spend £160 and the get the BMC Induction kit !!

Far better choice if u ask me, will sound nicer as well aand for example, the K/N will suck in a lot of hot air :-p

so performance wise, is there any actual difference?
Or is a induction kit just about sound (anyone explain how it works :P)
