Yesterday i adjusted the steering wheel height, i lowered it a bit, then drove off.
Next thing i'm hearing this really annoying clicking, got worse when i accelerated, done the usuall thing, poking and pushing all different bits of trim and dash while still moving, couldn't find it. Here we go i thought, people on here were right.
When i got home i pushed the steering wheel back to where it came from, as high as it would go, and locked it in place while still pushing it up.
Result is, it stopped the noise straight away and it hasn't come back.
Just thought i'd mention it for anyone to try who's suffering the rattles.
On a different note, i took it into the stealers today to have the eratic idling looked at.
They gave me a new 05 plate Polo to play with for the day, 1,250 on the clock think it's the SE model.
Couple of things i noticed The seats are a lot more comfy. The mpg aint as good as mine (or it is because i've been thrashin it a bit more
The seat belt tensioner works perfectly
And i really like the front of it, very nice. There due to be ringing me very soon to come and pick mine up, although i wouldn't mind if they forget to ring till Monday
Dont think i'll be in the house much this weekend.
