Evaluate my g40 ideas

Post by pettsy »

time for a change on the g40 front i think.

got to get a couple of bits sprayed up (bottom of drivers door, panel below left rear light, and tailgate)

how does the following sound....

remove rear seats
fit 3 point harnesses
different wheels (motorsport style possibly)
oil cooler
custom made exhaust to replace current jetex system
jabba shielded induction kit
wiechers rear cage

anyone got any thoughts? what colour wheels look best on white cars

interesting ideas u have there! i think it depends what your after with the car. if ur using it as a daily driver then i don't think harnesses would be the best idea as you'll just get fed up with them (well, i would).

removal of rear seats. hmmm, are you planning to build in with mdf and carpet? cause without that it will look tack! plus MDF may increase the weight! :? tell me off if i'm wrong

jabba sheilded induction kit! I WOULD!

what kind of exhaust would u be going for? i think ur right in changing the jetex one cause if u ask me it just looks too big!

wheels i'm not sure about, i'm one for bbs's or such like!

hope that helps you out mate!

All sounds good. G60 steels would look good too.

I think the exhaust is a high priority and the manifolds are now sorted

whats tat about stripping out your car?

the one thing i hate is when people say "ive stripped my car ouyt for a race/motorsport look. then i mdf'd the back" thats fine if you want a show car or whatever but defeats the point of stripping it out.

i dunno, maybe im wrong. (still not gonna mdf my mk1 though  )

what make are the manifolds? are they a limited run or will they always be available? thanks

I've been tempted by Compomotive wheels a few times myself, they're sweet!
