Ibiza Cupra R is a the previous model....180bhp 1.8T

carmadaaron, they're 17s.

To all, these are cracking cars. My mum got one of the first in the country, and as she's the coolest mum in the world, got it Revo'd 10 days later. We're looking at 200bhp and over 300lb/ft!

The FR can compete, when remapped there's only a 10bhp difference. Depending on the driver, the FR could win!

Definately a good choice! Sounds like you got the target price as well.

Really looking forward to hearing what you make of it.

Now, remember this is a diesel, so you'll have to keep it long enough to properly run it in if you want the full benefits...

D'oh, sorry I did mean the TD 160 Cupra, not the 1.8T version -- typed the wrong thing!

Performance is not all that the Cupra has over the FR though -- the uprated brakes, bigger alloys, and agressive body kit all go to make it look much more the part than the FR.

Even after all this time though -- I'm still not entirely sure I like the look of the Ibiza, although the Cupra does look a lot nicer IMO.

i am with frizzel aka liverpool victoria and having points on your lisence does not increase the premium

Having mods doesnt increase the premium

Business use is fine

so its all good

Kinda upsetting seeing those pictures of it new. Now its a bit worse for wear (Kerbed/chipped wheels, even more stonechips!

It's still much cheaper to run diesel on a privatly owned car. Most TDI engines will get 60+mpg if driven correctly. Some of the new golfs are easily getting 650 miles from a full tank.

Although the new FSI is excellent, even in my GTI (FSI Turbo) you can achieve 48+mpg over 500 miles per tank. But you really have to earn it.
