Had the Polo serviced on Tuesday. VW garage.
The total cost was £129 .The oil and filter was changed.
The oil came to £34 .The total cost for parts was £40.
So for an inspection service (how can a garage call that a service)
or to put it another way I paid a garage £89 to tell me what needed
doing to my car Daylight Robbery in my opinion
jmk1.
10.000 mile service

10.000 mile service
I have never had a VW before (always had Vauxhall or Fords)
I thought in a 10.000 service they would at least include Plugs and other
bits and pieces etc. At £129 to change the oil and filter and supply me
with a reort on whats wrong with my car , I think is daylight robbery.
In future I'll change my own oil.

my local tip has a oil recycling plant. so you bottle it up in a milk carton or summat and take it down there declaire engine oil they point you to a shed int eh corner and you pour the oil into a bucket in the shed and they deal with it.JTLondon wrote:What do you guys do with your old oil?
Didnt you read the reports on the news about company garages charging rediculous amounts?
Or was it a VW specialist garage?
