She's here ;)

Post by tom_mk5 »

Evenin,

As some of you may have noticed, the Polo went last week and I went out and bought a Golf. She's a 54 plate 1.6SE FSI in diamond black metallic with Votex kit. Arrived at the dealers today- so I went to check her out before she gets the multi-point check, private plate transferred and taxed all for collection at 11am Monday morning.:)

Yes yes, I know it needs lowering- going to get that sorted asap, and the new rims are already ordered.;)

Nice one! I love mk5 golfs, especially in black

What are your plans for the old wheels? are they 15's or 16's?

They are 15's mate. Only done 4000 miles so the tyres are like new, none of the wheels have any kerbing etc. I think i've got someone interested but I honestly don't have a clue what I should be looking for pricewise as i'm not sure what they're worth. Any ideas anyone?

There is a set of 16's on ebay for £375 (£495 Buy it now) but they are 9 months old so tyre tread is going to be med-low (non existant if they were mine @ 9k  )

I think you could ask £450 for them. But be prepared to go as low as £350 if you dont find a buyer straight away.

I am looking for a set of 16's but not really got the cash for wheels right now. Unless someone buy's my g40.

Lol aye, got to admit although it's not the biggest or most powerful engines, it really is such a nice car to drive. Will definitely keep me entertained for the time being.

Enjoy the Polo mate, the Mk5 is still in my opinion, the nicest Polo to date both inside and out- great cars, I miss mine.

Will get some better pics when I get her properly on Monday.
