GTI BBS Alloys!

Post by ukmic »

Hello hello just got me a lovely set of refurbished BBS wheels and was just wondering to fit them to an MK4 do they need Spigot rings? and can the bolts from the MK4 steel wheels be used on them or do I need new ones? Thanks!

If you look in the DIY section in the gti wheel refurb page 2 they talk about what tool it is and where too get it :) bstardchild I just tried putting the alloys on have not got the tyres on yet, as they were only delivered today. got 195/45/R15 is there any scrubbage at all or are you using spacers? mine isnt lowered at the moment, there didnt seem to be aloy of room though and can you please confirm the use of the standard bolts? as I dont want to ruin such lovely wheels Thanks!

VM8 from memory - I'll see if I can find a web link for it

No scrubbage at all even lowered by 50mm - in fact you could slam it to the floor and it still wouldn't scrub

loads - fits like a glove

I already have above in my first reply - std bolts of the steel wheels are perfect for the alloys

Thanks very much! got it sorted today there being fitted tommorow at the price of £45 :O the first company didnt seem to impressed that I had all "my own" stuff and just wanted it fitting so I told him to leave it drove round the corner and showed another bloke, he asked to see the alloys and said oh s**t asked if he could fit them know and, he said that those wheels you dont want to rush when fitting so im assuming he knows what hes doing if he damages one I will damage his face. Now im not a nasty person but the cost of these wheels and the time in total is alot :) just the exhaust to fit now!
