Idea for the forum...

Post by MadManMike »

Hi all,

Another forum I go on (That I cannot name for legal reasons... lol) use a system for buying and selling which basically involves:

Seller places "For sale" post. Buyer buys product. Once buyer receives the product they go to the "reference" forum and create a post for example "Refs for MadManMike" and put their comments in.

It's kind of like feedback on eBay.

There is usually a link under the username (Like location, rides...) that links to the ref post... It just reassures people and like eBay, you are more likely to deal with someone that has 25 sales under their belt than someone that has negatives all over the shop...

Comments?

Spike.

To simplify, once somebody has created the ref post for me, anyone that buys from me can click under my name and leave me feedback...

Seems good to me!

They do this on a geeky audio site that I go on... It's a good idea.

I'll see what I can do!

super sorted great idea!

in fact if its something that might show up in the sidebar, similar to post counts (maybe not an actual positive/negative thing, even if it were neccessarily mod administered not automatic, just a link) then even better

always seems to be some dodgy character hawking stuff so might hilight them better :D

Yeh that sounds cool. Parhaps make it only available to people who have like 300 posts, to stop jokers coming on and f*****g us over?

Not into three figures, but say, 25? Something like that?

There's three or four folk who seem to come on here expressly to sell things, often in a bit of a dodgy manner and with a bad attitude too. Post counts in total can't be over 20, and that's after several sales (or at least, adverts), explanations after more info's been asked for, and a couple of retorts to pointed questions.
