I'm looking for a polo head gasket for my project which needs to be either for 77mm or 77.5mm bore and at least 1mm thick when squashed (tightened down). I'm not too fussed if it's a metal one or not, but I would prefer the metal one.
Does anyone know if any of the headgasket manufacturers have catalogs with the bore and thickness listed ?
Cheers
Help finding the right headgasket !

Water jet or hand cut? Can't cut copper with a laser you see!!!minis84 wrote:if you struggle finding one you could try Wilsons Gaskets, up near Bradford.
We had a pair made up for our Scammell Ballast Tractor, they were copper and good quality. He can make pretty much anything so see if you can get in touch and get a quote.

hmmm, not sure how he made them, but they were excellent quality, and not very expensive, comparitively. £30 each I believe (but the engine was a 10.5litre Meadows petrol, with split cylinder heads, each bigger than a Polo engine!), and they were much better than even the OE ones supplied to the army in the 50's.
