New Polo GTI

Post by Scorpio1 »

Found this on a website. The Polo GTI. Not sure if it's been posted, so thought I would.

The only thing I see different is the GTI badge. I thought it would be a lot more sporty than the current range.

It looks bland to me IMO.

This is what the Ibiza Cupra is should look like when it goes into production. It will have the 150bhp 1.8 20vT and also a 150bhp PD TDi engine in it. SEAT are nice enough to bring the concept car down with them to the SEAT Cupra Championship races this season :)

Compare that to the Polo GTI you were going to buy!

I've seen pics of the Seat Ibiza Cupra and looks very sporty with 150 TDI and 180 1.8T!

I'm just waiting until the Frankfurt show to see what the GTI will look like. Personally, I'm hoping there's a greater differentiation btwn it and the rest of the range i.e R32 vs. "rest of the golfs", Lupo GTi vs. "rest of the Lupos".

After all, you'd want people who know to know what you've got, surely  ?

but only from the front or the rear - the side profile isn't to my taste - I don't like the wheel arch treatment.

Deek.

Yeah it doesn't look that different, but subtle which can be good too, I guess.

But a 1.8T under the bonnet. :D

Hey I love the look of the Ibiza side on :) It reminded me of a mini A3!

Each to their own, I understand everyone has different tastes. If we all liked the same thing the world would be boring!
