Same thing happen to my GTI, had about three 1" scratches on the rear bumper, ended up costing my next door neighbour £150, bloody clumsy idiot!

Whatever you do, just make sure you don't take it to a dealer! I've got some scuff marks on mine and thought I'd take it into the the dealer for a laugh to see how much they would quote me...this is for scuff marks on the rear bumper and a small narrow scuff on the front bumpstrip...in all it totalled almost £550!

Take it to a good paint shop, I've even thought about getting those dent chappies in to see if they can do anything...anyone had any experience with them?

If you mean Chips Away, I've used them and I thought the service was brilliant and was really happy with the results. Mine was a BIG scuff on my last car from a wall, they had it done the day I dropped it off and it looked as though it would when it rolled off the production line, they'd even managed to sort the textured plastic trim!

Price was about £135 for it, was a pretty big task.
