Thats what I'd like all round - obviously except the front window - just something subtle to improve the looks of the car (IMO) and provide a little extra security. Does anyone know if you can combine this kind of light tinting with the security film that holds your glass together when attacked?
Anyway, I agree with carmadaaron that tinting is something that not everyone likes, but each to their own I say - be a bit boring otherwise!

yeah, tints add a touch of distinction IMO
tints that hold the glass together are called supaglass (usually clear). You can put "tints" ie 45% tints on top of the security layer. just make sure no dust is left on the window before applying any layers of tints/supaglass, because it can bubble up later.
Here in Greece the law about window tinting is a little differrent. You may tint your windows (except for the font one) but in a degree of wich the driver and all passenges are visible from outside. Here is my 9N with it's tinted windows:

my plates arent very legal, but the police havent bothered me about them, ive driven infront of many a police car and havent been bothered in 6 months.

I love my tints, I got mine done pretty early on after I bought my car. It makes my car stand out from all the other polos in the area.
Currently, I am looking at buying a brand new GT and when I took it for a test drive all I thought was getting them tinted straight away. It helps with the peace of mind that no-one is getting in through the windows because they have a film holding the glass together even if it gets smashed. Also, no-one can see in your car either, meaning they can't see anything to steal!
i was pulled the other week for my fronts doing, it was done with the lightest tint they do and when i was pulled it was reading 30% light and it needs to be 70% light they told me.
they said to me if you put clingfilm on your front window and tested it, it would be below the 70% limit. and that the people who make the tints say there isn't a tint for the front that is legal.
well it doesn't look as good but at least its legal.
