1. it wasn't some flash beemer - it was an old wreck of a 3-series that the guy was probably driving to the scrappers at the time. i haven't heard anything about this bloke being found yet, so possibly he removed most identifying marks and took the plates with him.
£250 clapped out 316 vs a £500 mini moto? do you need to ask what wins? on both sides of the argument? i haven't stopped being 11 years old THAT long. I can still remember an age where that anything with four wheels and an engine would have been the most absolute coolest thing in the world, beating a toy motorbike hands down. I literally would have taken a fiat 126 (one going for £50 i saw when i was 15..)... imagine the pose value of having a BMW at 11!
2. bet the cops were egging him on to get out of 1st gear and above 28mph so they could get him on the oh-so-important and naturally much more unsafe speeding charge.
(HM Govt and the transport naz... er, i mean, police are kicking it up a gear again - their solution to the previously difficult satellite tracking thing? Tag chips in number plates. Genius solution, whoever came up with it, with the small problem that joe prole wont dare remove it, gets his every previously-private and assumed-trustworthy movement logged, and is fined out the wazoo for doing 71mph on the motorway. sammy criminal will rip those right off when stealing a car and put some solid plastic fakes on, getting away scott free and untrackable)
