road rage

Post by polo_chick »

Has anyone else noticed an unusual amount of stupid driving lately or is it just me?!

The other night was driving along the road when this red Clio shot out from a closed road right in front of me! Braked like feck and idiot is in the middle of the road, then he swerved onto my side and took off!!! So I dropped it into 3rd and took off after him!! In a 1.0l I did pretty damn well! Reckless idiot near wrote me clean off! Got his reg and reported him to the Police and to be fair they did get in touch with him ... well they said they did!

Then the night after I'm driving down the same road and I come over the crest of a hill to see two sets of headlights coming for me!! Some t*t thought it would be clever to overtake a LORRY up a hill!!!! Where do people get their licences from these days ... cereal boxes ffs?!

I'll admit im terrible - im always cursing people.

Especially when they hold me up doing 30 down a nice stretch of country lane which is a 60 but you cant overtake as there's too much on coming traffic!! Im not asking them to break the limit just do at least 60!!

(yes im fully aware the speed limit is there as a limit not the their to be archived but this is my fave stretch of road and makes me happy before work if i can have a nice drive round them...at 60mph)

edit - Oh and another thing that pisses me off is people on their mobile swerving all over the place or right over in your lane when there driving towards you! Quick beep and they look at you in disgust as if you had done something wrong!!!! GET A F***ING HANDSFREE OR BLUETOOTH CAR KIT!!!!!

1, 2, 3 and breathe!

Yup, some real bad drivers out there.
Nothing worse than people slowing you down (I only ask that you do the speed limit please).

McD's were doing an offer a while back with their happy meals, you can either choose a toy or driving licence.

I'm normally quite tolerant on the road but the thing that really gets me in a rage are coffin dodgers coming out the supermarket driving 20mph all the way past my house at lunchtime, I've had to pull some stupid manouveres get past some of them. You can see them looking down at the gears and squinting at junctions to see if anythings coming!

There should be a mandatory retest when you get older.

since u mention old folk. I saw some granny outside my work, poor thing. Took her literally about 2mins to move of at some little roundabout
(2 mins is a long time considering you can go)
She moved forward 1mm then another, then she stoped & sort of stood up  she finally notices she can go then her foot slipped of the clutch so the car jerked.

was hillarious (u had 2 be there)

so yeah, a re-test should be a must (free of charge re-test ofcourse)

Apart from OAP's in metros or Micras. the worst has to be 16yr olds on scooters with L plates with only a CBT. Got stuck behind one on abit of 50mph dual carrageway, he was in the fast lane, no other taffic. grrrrrrr get out my way, and learn how to use a road properly!
