Musical Tastes

Post by jazzypolo »

So,what sort of music are UK POLO members into.

I read a post this morning on Porka from a guy raving bout the Cheeky Girls.

Does anyone else enjoy these Transexual Transylvanian Twins booming out of their Subs. :?:

Me, I'm a Dance/Trance guy (Oooh I hear you say) who chills out with a bit of Jazz.

Reveal yourselfs.

Tanya Donelly, Belly, Kristen Hersh, The Breeders, Throwing Muses (basically anything with a Tanya Donelly connection) - anything that falls into that "amercian college rock" clique totally floats my boat. 8)

Other things - Heather Nova, Liz Phair, Darling Violetta, Bif Naked  , Eddie Reader

Right at the moment - Massive Crush by The Barbs is really good - it looks like it might even break onto some playlists soon...

Basically - mainly american alternative (i.e. not UK indie) guitar-based rock and nothing much else.

Deek.

Petrified,
Hey another Bif fan!!!
Just so long as you keep the BtVS connection among ourselves we'll be OK

*pants*

Anyway, have you got Purge? - the bass drum intro on Leader must be down around 40-60Hz - the Polo, erm, "loves" it!!

Wide taste here,

Love the Cardigans (not ashamed to say), the RHCP, and even rowdier things such as Pennywise still exite me.

On the other side of the spectrum, there's obvious Hip Hop such as 50 Cent, but also Black Eyed Peas (big fan) and other 'odd' things such as Morcheeba.

Oh no should I admit it... but I love a bit of 90's music

Although I do love R&B, garage, etc. When I had a sub in, I had garage on all the time!

Okay then,

Stevie Wonder/Roy Ayers/Herbie Hancock/The Commodores/Al Green

Original R&B, none of this modern cr*p. Oh and Eminem, who I think is a class act.

Reading through this has made me stick on Eddie Reader for the first time in G-d knows how long.

As for my musical taste... like to thing I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to that but tend to veer more towards the rock side of things. As for where my true obsession lies, look below. (Int she gorgeous??? :D :D :D )
