One for the Mods

Post by nickp34 »

Hi I am new here. I was just wondering why we are not allowed to post replies in the members rides section.

I am a member of several car forum and have never come across this.

It would allow people to comment on other members cars, make suggestions or ask what kit they have or alloys, where they got a certain part etc . A member may want others to suggest improvements for thier ride.

Thanks.
Nickp.

Keeps it clean - if you want to ask or comment use the PM function :D

Hiya Nick and welcome to uk-polos.net.

As dino said in the above post, one of the reasons you can't reply is to infact keep the area tidy.
Many people look in the members rides section for inspiration for their own cars, If there were post after post of "nice wheels where you get that splitter" then in our opinion the members rides section would look very untidy.

After all members rides is more of a gallery of our cars Than a discussion forum.

If you do see something on a members car that you feel the need to ask them about, then please feel free to use the Private Messaging system located on the bottom left of the members post (PM).

Regards

a mod has spoken! we all bow down! 8)

as they said, it keeps the area tidy and if you want to mention anything to them, post in the specific section or PM the person! :P

Just to add to what Tris said on a slightly different tack

- if you want comments about you car and you've posted pics in members rides stick a new post in the relevant section MKI, II or MKIII or MKIV or MKV etc etc saying my car what do people think?

Like this

Starts

BC's Poxy 1.4 CL

Stuck some pics up in members rides what do people think?

Ends

Please not I don't want this post becoming a chat around my car it's just for example!!!!
