Payday permitting on Friday, I'm going to be booking my GTi in to have the front splitter de-textured and painted as well as the front rubstrip to be removed, smoothed and the front bumper re-sprayed.

Sweet, think it always looks good on a silver and red GTIs...been thinking about doing it to mine but not sure if it will make much differemce.

Whereabouts and how much have you been quoted if you don't mind me asking? Cheers!

I went to www.qvrefurb.co.uk in Daventry, they're by no means cheap but I know they're work is top notch, for all of that to be done they quoted Â£556 (paint & materials and labour which is the killer)

I'll deffinately post pics afterwards yeah.

your getting ripped off their mate! all the quotes i've had have been between Â£150 and Â£215 and they have all said they would do front and back for Â£300 cash! they must be taking you for a ride! be carefull

My mate has they're car they're and that is HIGHLY modded, I knew it'd be dear as they're a farily big company, they're a mix between a bodyshop, accident repairers and valeters.

Should be worth it.

They've done quite a few modded cars as well, that have been seen at shows, magazines etc

its up to you if you want to pay twice as much for something! Â£215 was a price from a VERY VERY good bodyshop!

that was from a company called roberts refinishing in Ellesmere port, he mainly does alot of prestige cars, and he's done afew jobs on my mums car (always running over things)

only thing about that is it's 3hours away from me, and I'd have my dad following me, would cost an arm and leg in petrol for me and him

I payed Â£250 for mine to be done! seems fcukin expensive to me!
Mine was done by a bodyshop which does nemsis cars which feature in maxpower etc and have won best in show at maxpower live!!

Top work!!
