Unknown button...

Post by cyhliu »

I've just discovered this button behind the drivers seat, right under the seat belt...does anyone have a clue what it is for...I'm sure I never saw it in the manual!

It has the shape of a car and three lines from the roof inside going into the car...when I do press it there is a light on the top left that does light up...i.e something must be switched on! (but what?)

Cheers!

it's for the alarm sensor incase you leave pets/kids in car if you press the button the alarm won't go off.

lol, I wouldn't recommend leaving kids or pets in the car!

I've used it if I want to lock the car but leave the windows open as it disables the interior sensors (can only be used before the alarm is armed though!!)

I *think* it says in the handbook that if you lock the car using the remote central locking, and then press lock a second time, this does the same thing and disables the internal sensors? In case you forgot to press the button and you kids/dog are still in the car I guess :P

ALARM FUNCTIONS

Post by tntuk »

Hi ,

I do havbe a question about the alarm being armed when the windows are down. I left my car outside the drive and forgot the windows down. IS the alarm supposed to only activate the indicators when some-one reaches in? There is no sound, just falshing indicators........is this normal or should there be sound also?

No it should set off the siren aswell.

Did you give the alarm 10-20 secs to set itself before you reached in?

Hi,

Thx for that and yes, I had left the car a good 30mins before I remembered that the windows were open. Any ideas?

Usually does it near on straight away, I locked mine the other week, and people walking passed it on the driveway set it off with the windows open. May have a dodgy connection or fuse out?
