Votex Rear Bumper Help!!!!!

Post by DAZZA_TDI »

I`ve got my rear votex bumper painted ready to fit but i need the plastic fitting kit that goes onto the rear arch that the bumper fits onto, i`m assuming you need these as they had them on the front kit when i fitted it?? i went to vw yesterday and they hadn`t a clue what i was talking about they`re bloody useless   does anyone know the part number for these fixers any info appreciated :)

Hi mate, that's typical VW stealers for you. I don't know much about the Votex bumper, is it a genuine VW part?

If so maybe try Martyn@vagparts, should be able to sort you out with what you need.

Dazza, basically theyre 2 bits of plastic crap that fill the gap between the the rear bumper screws in the arch and the new skirts (tabs at the edge).

you should have got it with the bumper, but u can just get a bit of plastic (quite tough) and drill 2 holes to attach it to the arch then another 2 holes at different locations on the plastic so that the new rear skirt attaches onto the DIY made part.

You fitting it yourself? make sure the bonding glue supplied is not out of date, as it wont work if it is!

Hope this helps
