I became an uncle today, my brother and his wife gave birth to their son Louis early this morning! Just though I'd share it with you guys. :D

congrats mate, Its not an easy job though..i got 2 neices *mongo and magnum* and one nephew *webster* (obviously names i gave them and not their parents haha)

You have to teach them all the bad things their parents would rather you didn't.
Although they do come in handy for general tasks (when they can walk n talk obviously) such as fetching the remote/paper/other things. And asking nanny for more sweets/crisp/pop when really its for you.

Word of warning though if any nappies are being changed in your vicinity, get the hell outta there! I have never seen anything so bright and stinky in all my life.

babies internals are made up of five main items when you see them via the magic of medical imaging, all of which seeming grotesquely oversized first time you see them compared to an adult, thinking the kid's got some defect... no.. its normal. heart, pancreas etc don't get hardly a look in.

stomach
liver
kidneys
bladder
lungs

stomach to hold a fair bit of milk so that theres a good puking reservoir before it's rapidly flushed down to a very short intestine

liver for producing mass quantities of bile to mix with said milk (giving you the sloppy, brightly coloured and foul smelling baby poop)

kidneys for doing a drastic filtration job so lots of urine is produced, overwhelming even the disproportionate bladder

bladder for storing that huge quantity of urine til you least expect it, with plenty of reserve for a surprise squirt when you think everything's cleaned up

lungs for, well, the obvious - out-performing a 4-foot high JBL thumper stack at your local nightclub. (literally, going by what my ears tell me)

ps congrats to the mum & dad, hope not to see them for any of those pictures like EVER :D, and enjoy your new babysitting role ... make sure you've got some nicely washed coveralls that you don't want to keep pristine any more!

(forgot the obligatories when i wrote the first one, perhaps due to being bombed out)
