Mirror cover help.

heya guys, i want to take my grey mirror covers off and replace them with some colour coded mirror covers.......... anyone done this before and got any tips? i saw uk_polo_gti trying to take them off of the original mirror and it looked fiddly as hell!
any help greatly appreciated.

thats on the list next to do after xmas for me

if you aint sorted it by then i will try nd post up how they come off. sure it cant be too tough to do
cud always ask at vw?

they just pop off
i accidently reversed and cought mine on a tree, it smashed the mirror glass (which cost 25% to replace from vag) and popped off the cover, it went flying, i just popped it back on, i suggest you pop it off, rub it down (as its textured), primer, then spray it yourself
you can get spray cans of vag paint for a bout a tenner from vw, dont foget a can of laquer for a top coat so it matches the rest of the car though. should be able to do the job for £20 and a couple of hours
i'm doing mine after ive sprayed up my bump strips
